- Durable single-storey reinforced concrete structures with lockable, front-facing vendor units
- Weather-resistant steel roof sheeting with proper drainage
- Tiled floors, painted walls and basic electrical fittings — lighting and power outlets
- Water points, waste disposal areas, a public bathroom, wide walkways, signage and secure enclosures
